Concept and requirements of Scouting and Girl Guiding:-

Scouting and Girl Guiding is a non-political service organization. It has worldwide recognition.

Boys are called scouts and girls guides.

Robert Stephenson Baden Powell is the founder of the scouting and guiding movement. He was an Englishman by race and a soldier by profession. He was born on 22nd February in England. Inspired by its effective role in forming the moral character of boys and girls in scouting and guide system, scouting and girl guide movement spread in different countries of the world under his orders. He entrusted his sister Agnes Baden Powell and his wife Olive Baden Powell with the responsibility for the Guide movement.

  They successfully led the guide movement and spread it everywhere.

   Scouting and Girl Guide program in Bangladesh was started in 1972 after the independence of Bangladesh.

    As a result of the successful implementation of these programs, inculcating and developing human values among the boys and girls of the country and helping them to become socially conscious.
